Took forever to finish this one, and I’m definitely done with feathers from now on: an eighty-five centimeter tall drawing of a Dodo… Boom!

And again, some random illustrations in random sketchbooks. To be continued… One I used for a business-card for my lil’ sis.

Logo proposal for Kanon Studio’s (=Canon Studios). A young creative production agency based in Amsterdam. In particular specialized in audio visual productions.

For some sort of reason I ended up having multiple (read: around 10) half empty drawing-books. Just because I like the ‘freshness’ of having a new one I guess. I started with drawing in big notebooks, and eventually decided that those pages were way too big to make quick nothing-meaning sketches. So I swopped. To Mr. Moleskin. Yup. Most drawings are accompanied by random ridiculous pictures, which intrigued me in a stupid way.

Found some more (old) stuff on my computer, while cleaning up: Logo design for shoe- and bag designer Ilse Horck. First images shows three drafts. The third one was chosen (together with the other ‘half-half’ animals). The last image shows two simplified versions, meant for leather embossing (for instance)// Made @ Studio Overburen
Art Direction & Concept for the collection/e-shop photoshoots. I was responsible for a good outcome on all these photoshoots. Most of the time the Men- and Women-collection had to be shot in three days. Three very busy days, I can tell you that… And of course no fashionbrand is a fashionbrand without a good old lookbook with the best outfits of the collection-photoshoot.

Concept/Art Direction for the photoshoot of the new Bed (& Bath) campaign images. The new direction was more a so-called ‘loft feeling’. A more ‘Metropolitan Casual‘ (=thé new Mexx description). It could look a little bit more authentic, a bit ‘rougher’. A nice task, especially because the bedcovers are quite colorful and feminine looking.

Design & Concept for the Fall/Winter ’10 Mexx campaign (I couldn’t done it alone: of course this is the result a whole marketingteam). Amongst others I made the typography for all the campaign images. For instance the ‘Me+XX‘ – line. Eventually we used this style of writing as the ‘ongoing theme’ in the campaign. And let’s not forget about the overall ‘Look & Feel‘ of the campaign.
These campaign-images are featuring Heike Makatsch, a German actress. This campaign was only used in Germany & Holland. For the other countries we had different models/celebrities. For the upcoming Spring/Summer ’11 Campaign Mexx asked different celebrities to take part, but only for their homeland of course. (Holland: Carice van Houten).

As Mexx had a brand new campaign, and with the sale-period coming up, the so-called “SALE concept” couldn’t stay behind. The old design didn’t fit within the new campaign-concept, therefore there I had to come up with a new design. What you see here is a design for thé Mexx SALE-bag, window and all the instore displays, hangtags, posters etc… // Made @ Mexx Europe B.V.

Design & Concept (and choice of materials) for all kinds of instore-products: linen gift-bags, giftcards and last but not least, the regular paper bags. Next to that a Mexx-Iphone cover made in corporation with Apple. Actually quite nice to see your handwriting/design on an Iphone cover. Unfortunately I still got the 3G one, so can’t use my ‘own’ cover. All down on the bottom: the design/concept of the accessory-folder. // Made @ Mexx Europe B.V.
